Fourth of July Guide: Where To Catch The Fireworks In Scarsdale

Fireworks, festivities and Independence Day 2012 celebrations around the Scarsdale area this July 4th week.

When and Where: Village of Scarsdale Fireworks Spectacular at the on Tuesday, July 3. The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy the annual Scarsdale tradition of catching the fireworks on Independence Day-Eve.

Details: The annual firework display is open to all residents. Non-pool members may begin to enter the pool complex at 5:00 p.m. A $2 fee will be charged to all individuals who enter the pool starting at 5:00 p.m. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are strictly prohibited.

When and Where: Fourth of July Carnival at the on July 4, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Why Go: Bring the family for a full day of Fourth of July fun. Enjoy carnival attractions, music and aquatic activities.

Details: Only open to pool members and their guests.

When and Where: Fireworks and music at in Valhalla on Tuesday, July 3.

Why go: Spend an evening with your family and friends at the Kensico Dam listening to patriotic music followed by a fireworks display. 

Details: Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. and The Bensen-Scott Big Band will perform at 8:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Price: Admission and parking are free.

When and Where: White Plains Farmers Market on Wednesday, July 4, between Court Street and Martine Avenue in White Plains.

Why go: Want to avoid the grocery store on the Fourth of July? Make sure to head over to the White Plains Farmers Market to get fresh food and produce for your celebrations. Vendors include Arch River Farms, Rolling Hills Farms, Westchester Greenhouse, S&SO Produce, Iron Tomato, and Meredith Bread.
Details: Open 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

When and Where: Fireworks at on Wednesday, July 4.
Why go: End the evening with a beautiful firework display. (Luckily you don’t have to wait until next year to see fireworks: Rye Playland has a fireworks display every Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 p.m. throughout August 31.) 
Details: Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Price: Parking is $5 weekdays, $7 weekends, and $10 on July 4.
