Photos: Big Truck Day!

The Scarsdale Library continued a longtime village tradition by hosting Big Truck Day, when little kids, village workers and maintenance trucks all come out to play.

Scarsdale Patch was represented in force yesterday at the public library's annual Big Truck Day event, when everyone who shows up is guaranteed at least a yellow construction helmet (lite) and the chance to honk an incredibly loud horn.

Stay-at-Home dad Jack Miller showed up, but wistfully said his kids deemed themselves too old. Indeed, the average age for  attendees at yesterday's 4 p.m. event, which took place in the libaray parking lot, was about 3 or 4.

Our food reviewer Jeremy Shvetz and his son, B.D., were there too, along with new summer reporter from Iona College, Courtney McCabe. Lastly, Sean Gallagher, who will post a video on this event tomorrow, also came out for the fun.

These photos are just a placeholder for his much more colorful, fun video, but we hope you enjoy them!
