Scarsdale's Kashar & Rothman Win Prestigious Award

Scarsdale's Alexis Kashar and Clifton Rothman have been awarded by the Westchester Jewish Council. The two are being recognized for their distinguished service to the community. Kashar, who is the public policy chair for the National Association of the Deaf, was recognized for her tireless work for the rights of those who are hearing impaired. Rothman was recognized for his work honoring U.S. veterans.

Rothman is a pediatrician who practices right here in Scarsdale and Kashar is a civil rights attorney. Both Scarsdale residents were presented with the 2013 Julian Y. Bernstein Distinguished Service Awards during a special ceremony that was held at the Jewish Community Center of Harrison.
