Have Some Fun Painting During the Holiday Week

- New York Liberty Basketball Clinic: The New York Liberty hosts their Annual Holiday Basketball clinic on Monday for boys and girls ages 8-14 at the Liberty Training Center in Tarrytown. The clinics will focus on being good teammates and improving skills in the areas of offense, defense and shooting fundamentals. Special guest appearances by Liberty players and legends. - School's Out/Art's In at the Katonah Museum of Art: A workshop Tuesday on portrait drawing. Children will use special drawing materials to explore the elements of a face through drawing. From proportion to detail and expression, children will learn a few new drawing skills, and come away with a special portrait drawing. Children under age 6 participate must be accompanied by an adult; for children 7 and older, adults must remain at the Museum. Adults pay regular museum admission, and for the participating children: $3 members, $6 non-members. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Katonah Museum of Art, 134 Jay St., Katonah.

- Trove @ The Movies: “The Polar Express”: A showing of the holiday favorite on Thursday at the White Plains Library. The film is about a doubting boy who boards a magical train on Christmas Eve that's headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus's home.
