Meet District 5 County Legislator Benjamin Boykin II

Here's a sampling of events and activities in Westchester County to start your week off on the right foot.

- Scarsdale League of Women’s Voters Q&A with Benjamin Boykin II - Benjamin Boykin II, newly installed County Legislator for District 5,  will meet with League members at its general membership meeting on Monday. Boykin will discuss issues he expects to address in his first term on the County Board of Legislators and take questions. Free, 10:30 a.m. Third floor, Scarsdale Village Hall, 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.  



- Tuesday Afternoon Film Noir Series: ‘Road to Perdition’: Released in 2002, “Road to Perdition” is American crime film directed by Sam Mendes that takes place during the Great Depression in 1931. The screenplay was adapted by David Self, from the graphic novel of the same name by Max Allan Collins. The film stars Tom Hanks, Paul Newman Jude Law, and Daniel Craig. The plot centers around a mob enforcer and his son as they seek vengeance against a gangster who murdered the rest of their family. Free, noon. Greenburgh Public Library, 300 Tarrytown Road, Elmsford.



- Market Positioning for New Businesses: SCORE Mentor Deedie Domenicali leads a workshop Wednesday on how to develop the Marketing Positioning that will help a new business owner communicate their product or service for maximum effect. SCORE mentors will be on hand to assist you in this process, both during and after the workshop. - Guided Tour of Industrial Sublime Exhibit at Hudson River Museum: The Scarsdale Adult School has partnered with the Hudson River Museum for a special guided tour of the Industrial Sublime exhibit on Thursday. Modernism and the transformation of New York's rivers from 1900-1940 are featured in over 70 works from museums around the country. The cost is $20 per person, and attendees can register at www.ScarsdaleAdultSchool.org. 1 p.m., Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave., Yonkers.



- Milder temperatures return to start the week, with highs in the 40s and low 50s on Monday and Tuesday. Strong chance of rain Tuesday, but the rest of the week should be dry. Lows in the 30s at the start of the week, and in the 20s as the week progresses.
