Ring in the New Year During the Day? Absolutely!

Check out some fun family friendly events this week to kick off the New Year.

- Kids Holiday Theater Camp: Les Miserables Workshop at the WPPAC: Aligned with their December production of Les Misérables – the White Plains Performing Arts Center has announced a winter camp for students in grades 4 – 12.  During this two-day workshop on Dec. 30 and 31, students will focus on scene work, as well as music and choreography from the show.  They will also have the opportunity to work with production staff members, and even meet some members of the cast. - 4th Annual Ring in the New Year at Noon at New Roc City: A fun, family friendly New Year’s Eve celebration during the day on Tuesday, with a Times Square-style atmosphere, complete with a daytime balloon release at noon. Radio personality Jimmy Fink of 107.1 The Peak will be on-hand to help lead the festivities, which will include games, arts & crafts, snacks, face painting and more. Click here for more information. - Sukey Molloy & Friends! Winter Concert: Sukey Molloy & Friends will perform an hour of sing-along fun Thursday at the Eastchester Public Library. Sukey is an award-winning recording and video artist seen on BabyFirst (TV). Free, 11 a.m. Eastchester Public Library, 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.





- Mild temperatures to start the week, with highs in the 40s on Monday, 30s and 20s the rest of the week. Mostly dry but possible snow flurries on New Year’s Day on Wednesday. Low temperatures in the 20s and high teens throughout the week.
