The Week Ahead: Digital Music for Teens; Farmers Market; Italian Festival

The Scarsdale Public Library is hosting Stories Under the Stars tonight from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children ages 3 ½ to 5 are welcome to come in their pajamas! Registration is not required. For more information, call (914) 722-1300.

There will be a joint meeting of the Law and Land Use Committees of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Scarsdale this Tuesday at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Third Floor Meeting Room in village hall. The topics on the agenda are land use and zoning regulations, set backs, FAR, lot coverage, building coverage, wetlands, bulk in the five corners and sensitive draining areas.

Musician Kurt Gallagher will be holding a Digital Music Creation tutorial for teens on Wednesday night. This class is perfect for teenagers who have ever been interested in making music on their computers, but are not sure how to go about it. Gallagher will instruct students on exactly this. This fun and educational opportunity will help anyone interested endure upon a creative and exciting hobby. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Greenburgh Public Library, and refreshments will be served.  

Thursday:

Head over to Getty Square in Yonkers this Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 a p.m. for St. John’s Farmers and Flea Market. Fresh farm produce, thrift shop, refreshments, flea market and fresh bread will be available to you. The event will take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 1 Hudson Street in Yonkers.

Friday:

Westchester County’s largest traditional Italian street festival, the Peekskill Italian Feast begins this Friday. The fourth annual three day event will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.  and will take place on Brown Street, Division Street and Park Street in Peekskill. This free, family friendly event has attracted 25,000 people annually. Everybody is Italian for these three days!
