A Coffeehouse, a Solstice Celebration and the Nutcracker

Residents have their choice of a host of fun events throughout the area this weekend.

1. The Bronxville Women's Club transforms itself into a sophisticated coffeehouse every third Friday of the month. On Friday, the performers are Ted Horan, Spanish guitar; Honor Finnegan, a quirky indie folk singer; and singer/guitarist Brooke Campbell. Admission is $5 and includes coffee, tea and munchies. BYOB is allowed, as are donations for the performers. 8 p.m., Bronxville Women's Club, 135 Midland Avenue, Bronxville.


2. Winter Solstice Celebration: The REN DAO Wellness Center is hosting an event on Saturday to celebrate the return of the light, “as the days being to lengthen and we begin a new solar cycle.” From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., suggested donation is $10. 3. The Ballerina Ball’s Nutcracker Celebration: The Tuckahoe Community Center will host the second annual Ballerina Ball’s Nutcracker Celebration on Sunday, presented by the Eastchester Recreation Department and the Ballerina Ball.
