Foodies Unite! Balducci’s Hosts Re-Opening in Scarsdale

A Balducci's re-opening and a toy and train show are some of the fun events planned for this weekend in and around Scarsdale.

1. Scarsdale Balducci's Food Lover's Market Grand Re-Opening: See what’s new at the Scarsdale Balducci's Food Lover's Market Grand Re-opening. In-store tastings and offerings all weekend, and the first 200 customers on Friday, Dec. 13, will receive a free food lover's gift. Additionally, nutritionist Shari Boockvar will be on hand to offer her expertise. A portion of the proceeds of the weekend’s sales will be donated to the Food Bank for Westchester. Free, 10:45 a.m. Balducci's, 15 Palmer Ave., Scarsdale.


2. Winter Concert: Program B: A performance on Saturday by Sarah Lawrence College dance students. Free, but RSVP is requested to chartigan@sarahlawrence.edu. 7:30 p.m., The Bessie Schönberg Dance Theatre, Sarah Lawrence College, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.


3. Westchester Toy & Train Show: More than 300 dealers of electric toy trains and toys will be on hand Sunday. Featuring various gauge electric trains and accessories, parts, books for Lionel, American Flier, Marklin, Tyco, etc. Additionally, many classic toys, such as Star Wars, Dinky and Thomas Toys, comics, soldiers, dolls, games, test tracks and working layouts. Adults $11.00 and kids under 12 are free.
