The Annual Children's Halloween Festival Scares Up Some Fun This Weekend

Ghosts and goblins will be on hand Sunday at the annual Children's Halloween Festival, one of several fun events planned for this weekend in and around Scarsdale.

1. On Food & Cooking: “Time Management in the Kitchen for Busy People”: A workshop on Friday by Donna Douglass, a culinary and wellness education expert  for busy people who are time challenged. In this workshop, she will show you how to shop, menu plan and cook without spending all day in the kitchen. 2. Rocktober at the Scarsdale Library: Children from first through eighth grades will have the chance on Saturday to create their own music videos in front of a live audience. Props such as rocker wigs, feathers and sparkles will be available. There will also be games, prizes and snacks. Registration is required if songs are wanted on the karaoke. No need to register to perform. Free, 2 p.m. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmstead Road, Scarsdale.


3. Bronxville Children’s Halloween Festival: The annual festival will be held on Sunday (rain date: Sunday, Oct. 27) from noon to 4 p.m. in Leonard Morange Park on Parkway Road. There will be carnival rides, pony rides, food, live music, and more. Produced by The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce. Free.
