<p>Scarsdale Girl Scouts conduct meetings, business and fun out of the Betty Taubert House with lots of room to run and play on Wayside Lane.</p>
<p>Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low with 18 girls in Savannah, Georgia, the Girl Scouts of America now counts over 3.6 million members throughout the country. Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson is comprised of Westchester and nearby counties.</p> <p>Along with instilling social consciousness, fundamental principles and values, the participation is intended to build character, skills, self worth and self conviction. The Girl Scouts Law has not changed. Respect God and country and the Scouts law of honesty, fairness, friendliness, helpfulness, consideration, caring, courage, strength, responsibility, respect and to do all that is possible to make the world a better place as a sister and a woman.</p>
