The goal of the Scarsdale Parks, Recreation & Conservation is to offer year-round athletic activities and a variety of sports to the community. The department works with the Neighborhood Athletic Associations (NAAs) to organize youth athletic team programs.

It also provides educational workshops for coaches, and sportsmanship awareness.

There are local summer camps, youth sport leagues, intramural sports, adult sport leagues, and the 15K race, 4M race, Abe Simon Memorial Team race and Kids Fun Run.
