Lauren, the 2nd of four children, was born in Massachusetts and grew up on Cape Cod. She attended Cape Cod Community College and The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and spent six months studying the French language in Grenoble, France.  She achieved her bachelor of Arts degree in French in 1976 and moved to New York City to work for an educational travel company facilitating cultural exchange for high school students around the world.  In 1979, Lauren married Rich Cardinali and then gave birth to twins (Andrea and David) in 1982.  The family moved to Westchester in late 1983 and in 1986 she had another son, Raymond.

Lauren began teaching parenting classes in 1987 after searching for compassionate and effective techniques  to use with her own three small children. 

She became interested the fields of childbirth, labor support, and postpartum care while preparing for the challenging task of achieving her own vaginal delivery following a cesarean section.

For the past 24 years, Lauren has dedicated herself to helping mothers and families as they adjust to their new roles.   She works as a Postpartum Doula in the Southern Westchester Area of New York specializing in breastfeeding and multiple births.  For more information, please visit:  www.motherpampering.com

 In September of 2011,  Ms. Taylor expanded her service to assist families in need of continuing child care.  She is currently interviewing families who are interested in hosting an au pair.
