Threatening Texts & Letter Investigations in Scarsdale

Scarsdale Police investigated a threatening letter and text complaint in the village. The first incident was reported on June 21. A Tomkins Road woman told police that she has been getting threatening letters from her sister's ex-husband. Apparently, the ex-husband thinks that he should get some money from the Scarsdale woman's mother's estate. The Scarsdale woman's mother died in 1999, and the Tomkins road woman says that she has been getting the threatening letters since that time.

The former brother-in-law's letters and postcards were given to the Scarsdale Police Department so they can investigate the situation.

In a separate incident, Scarsdale's Finest got a call from a 19-year-old Rodney Road man who filed a harassment report against his ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend had told the Rodney Road man to stay away from her at the Scarsdale Golf Club and anywhere else. When police finished up their investigation, they concluded that the text message was not harassment.
